Marine fish tank help?
For a marine aquarium with anemones, corals and fish would 8 x 40 watt fluorescent bulbs be too much?
I know anemones require a lot, but I also have other coral at the moment like zoa's and elegance which don't require as much lighting as them... So is 320 watts way too much.. I have a feeling it is ;P
Would 80 watts total be enough?
Or 4 x 40watts better? (160watts total)

You have fluorescent bulbs. They are not efficient lighting, and you cannot just base everything off watts per gallon. There is a HUGE difference between your 320 watts and say a 250 watt metal halide. Even though the total watts are lower on the halide, it is actually producing a lot more light.
You should be fine on the other coral, but may still have trouble with the anemone.
If it does turn out to be too much light for the other coral, and they start bleaching (turning white) arrange them lower in the tank, and to where the rock or other structure is blotting out some of the light. I doubt you will have that problem, though.
If you zoanthids turn brown, you do not have enough light. If the anemone turns brown, you do not have enough light. Remember in lower light tanks, anemones need fed more often.

or perhaps
